I recently read a suggestion from a masterful composer: “you should self-impose limitations to enhance your music skills”. Limitations actually force you to focus and are a motivator, as too many possibilities can be intimidating. It is such a powerful idea, that it has inspired me to to take up a challenge: creating a variety of different music pieces that, in a maximum of only 10 music bars and in 4 hours or less of weekend work, convey an emotion or “paint” an environment typical of a movie genre. I will keep adding more pieces as inspiration, time and new ideas come along.
